Trent Wheeler is an internationally known speaker, missionary and writer. He has appeared on television and radio programs and currently has a series of devotionals based on African Proverbs being broadcast to over one third of the world’s population through World Christian Broadcasting.
He has received awards and recognition from Outstanding Men in America, Who’s Who of Writer’s Editors and Poets, the National Drug Prevention Partnership and Junior Achievement. He has written articles for newspapers and several Christian publications including the Gospel Advocate, Firm Foundation, Christian Family, Think, the Harvester and Homeschooling Today Magazine.
Trent is an adventure junkie who believes “if you aren’t living life on the edge, you are probably taking up too much space.” His work has taken him to 15 different countries. He loves motorcycles, obstacle courses, hiking, and almost anything that causes an adrenaline rush.
Trent is the author of two books: Singled Out: How to live a Fulfilled Single Life. Singled Out is a small group study designed to help Christians deal with the complicated playing field of single life (especially for those who find themselves single again). Trent’s second book, Broken, is currently in production with plans for release late in 2013. Broken is the story of ministry! When Jesus said, “Come unto me all who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest,” (Matthew 11:28) he meant ALL! His call was to adulterers, liars, murderers, prostitutes and what we commonly refer to as the dredges of our society.

After thirty years in ministry Trent realized that tragedy and triumph, victory and defeat are twin sons often born of the same circumstances. The line of demarcation between living a full, free untethered life and being bound by the hardship and chains of sin is very thin. As a result of working through his own trails and hardships, and trying to serve others who life kicked to the curb, Trent founded Untethered Ministries in 2010 as a resource to encourage, inspire and serve those who want more from life.
